Welcome to We Play!

Hello from the We Play Portland crew! Our team is made up of caring, creative adults with diverse backgrounds, including preschool and elementary teaching, nannying, parenting, youth mentorship, and small-business leadership. While our paths to We Play may look different, we all share the same passion: creating meaningful, joyful experiences for kids. Spending time with children — listening to their ideas, supporting their independence, and playing alongside them — is truly the best part of our day.

Safety and trust are foundational to everything we do. All We Play Portland staff have successfully completed the Oregon Central Registry Background Check and maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications. We Play Portland is also licensed as a school-age recorded program through the Oregon Department of Early Learning, ensuring that our programs meet state standards for care, supervision, and safety.

At We Play, we believe in the power of outdoor, child-led play. We create space for kids to explore their ideas, take healthy risks, collaborate with peers, and build confidence through unstructured time in nature — all within a supportive, community-centered environment.
