Full Day Summer Camp - 2026

We Play Portland Summer Camp is a play-based, outdoor program for children ages 5–11 (entering Kindergarten through 6th grade). Camps are based at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church / Faubion School, Leaven Community Center / Alberta Park, and other neighborhood parks as noted on the camp registration form.

Summer camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Campers should bring a reusable water bottle, food for the day, and weather-appropriate clothing. We spend most of our time outdoors engaging in group creative play, crafts, and games. Our camps are child-led, encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and imagination — and we can’t wait to adventure with the kids this summer!

The camp fee is $300 per week, per child. A $50 deposit per enrolled week is due at the time of registration. Deposit requests are sent via email through TUIO, our safe and secure online payment system. Deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another camp week if space allows through June 1, 2025. The remaining balance is due on June 1, 2026. After that date, the camp fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Register by March 15, 2026 to receive a 10% discount!

Middle School 1/2 Day Camp

Dungeons & Dragons Camp is a week-long, half-day program designed for rising 5th–8th graders. This camp is fully centered on Dungeons & Dragons, with all activities being kid-led within the DnD framework. Campers collaborate on storytelling, character development, problem-solving, and gameplay, culminating in a shared adventure experience.

We Play Maker Space Camp is a week-long, half-day option for rising 5th–8th graders who love to tinker, build, and create. Centered on hands-on, kid-led making, campers explore materials, test ideas, and collaborate on open-ended projects that encourage creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving, often taking projects in imaginative and unexpected directions.

Most camp weeks are held at Leaven Community Center. If a session is moved to another location, that change will be communicated in advance. Campers should bring a reusable water bottle and any relevant materials for the week’s camp theme. Please encourage campers to eat breakfast before arriving.

Camp availability is limited, and groups are intentionally small. We ask families to register only for weeks their camper is genuinely excited to attend. One of the goals of these programs is to support growing independence for older kids in the neighborhood — including walking or biking to camp, checking themselves in and out, and choosing to stay after camp to eat lunch, play games at the park, or spend time with friends (with parent or guardian permission). Please note that We Play is not responsible for campers before or after scheduled camp hours.

The camp fee is $160 per week, per child, with a minimum enrollment of four campers per week required to run each program. Once the minimum is met, a payment request will be sent via TUIO, our secure online payment system. Camp fees are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another week if space allows through June 1, 2025. After June 1, camp fees become non-refundable and non-transferable.
